TyE will teach you how to become a successful entrepreneur and help you discover the rewards and challenges of becoming an entrepreneur! TyE will empower you to become entrepreneurs by providing you with quality educational programs to develop strong business acumen, communication skills, time management, and confidence to lead in a global environment.

2013 TyE Boot Camp Program Information
TyE is a two-week boot camp from July 8-19, culminating in a business plan competition on July 27.  The winning team goes on to compete in the TyE Global Business Competition in 2014.  TyE features lectures by industry experts and entrepreneurs followed by interactive discussion. Business topics to be covered include:
  • What is Entrepreneurship and Ideation?
  • Strategic Marketing
  • Legal Aspects of a Business & Understanding Business Models
  • Understanding Financials, Raising Money,and Financing Your Business
  • Implementation and Roll-Out Phases
  • Creating an Effective Pitch
  • Business Plan Workshop
  • Putting It All Together: Hear from two local successful entrepreneurs
  • Effective Presentation Skills: Who is your audience?
This year's boot-camp will be held at The Universities at Shady Grove.  The business competition will be at George Mason University.

If you are a high school student and you are interested in entrepreneurship, apply today.  

Applications accepted through June 15, 2013, with rolling admissions.  


Main application questions include:
  • Does your school currently have any clubs relating to Business, Finance, or Marketing? If so, are you involved with any? Please name them.
  • Why are you interested in joining the Entrepreneur Bootcamp program? What benefit do you expect from this Bootcamp? Please limit to 1024 characters.
  • Do you have a business idea that you want to use for the Business Plan if selected? If so, please provide a brief summary of your Business Plan.

About TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Global Program
The aim of the TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Global Program is to empower our youth to become the next generation of entrepreneurs. TYE Global is a unique program that helps high school students learn about the challenges and rewards of becoming an entrepreneur. Seasoned entrepreneurs and mentors coach students based on a business-focused curriculum. The program comes to a close with global Business Plan Competition for the youth. The TYE program nurtures the creativity, self-confidence, leadership and overall development of the students.
