TYE – TiE Young Entrepreneurs 2024

TYE is a boot camp running on 10 Saturdays between January 25 and March 29, 2025, culminating in a business plan competition on March 29, 2025. The winning team goes on to compete in the TYE Global Business Competition, dates in June/July TBD. TYE features lectures by industry experts and entrepreneurs followed by interactive discussion.

About TYE Boot Camp

TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) is a global educational program dedicated to developing future generations of entrepreneurs and industry leaders by teaching high school students the rewards and challenges of becoming an entrepreneur.

TYE is a boot camp running on ten Saturdays between January 25 and March 29, 2025, culminating in a business plan competition on Saturday March 29, 2025. The winning team goes on to compete in the TYE Global Business Competition, dates in June TBD. TYE features lectures by industry experts and entrepreneurs followed by interactive discussion.

TYE empowers high school students to become entrepreneurs by providing you with quality educational programs to develop strong business acumen, communication skills, time management, and confidence to lead in a global environment.

Attendance is mandatory for all classes and competition.

Each TiE DC Young Entrepreneur Will Have the Opportunity To:

Participate in a rigorous curriculum proven over 10+ years and delivered by founders, entrepreneurs, and successful industry experts.
Build a startup as a part of a team, with guidance from mentors, while collaborating with other students who are from diverse backgrounds.
Develop confidence and leadership skills.
Compete for the opportunity to represent the DC chapter at the TYE Global Competition and the winning team may further explore seed funding through this program.
Connect with mentors (experts and former student participants) who will coach your team.
Participate as TiE DC member for a year for professional development opportunities.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Any 9th-12th grade students interested in entrepreneurship, STEM or business may apply to participate!

Class Timing

Saturdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm

(Working lunch break 12 noon to 12:30 pm, students are strongly encouraged to bring their lunch because the GMU cafeteria can be slow.)
